It is always good to have a camera with you, as inspiration is everywhere. I prefer to work from my own drawings, but cannot resist taking photos of anything that appeals to me. It can be colour combinations, shapes or textures. The more you look the more you see. These images taken at three different destinations, all appealed to me – although I was intially unaware of the colour likeness between them. The side of an old upturned boat, museum artifacts and tree bark.
