If I find one of these old wooden calender blocks at a flea market or charity shop, I always buy it. They were once used on writing desks with a single page for each date – and a new set of pages was bought each year. I have made several fabric books, with the ones I have bought – and I am on the look out for more. The theme of this book is flowers and they are all cut from second hand pieces. I used the eyelet function on my sewing machine to make the holes.
