Each year Madeira Threads invite embroideres to participate in a competition. All entries will be on display at next year’s Fashion And Embroidery shows. There are two categories – Mainly Hand Embroidery and Mainly Machine Embroidery. I try to participate each year and it is always interesting to see what the new theme is and how it can be interpretated.
This time the theme is “Glimpses of Royalty” – I have an idea, but will not disclose this at present.
Last year the theme was “Glimpses of the Twenties” and I was fortunate to recieve a “Highly Commended” for this picture, showing elements of Art Deco design.
