Sketches from The Faroes

Sketches from a visit to the beautiful Land of Maybe – as The Faroes were called during the second world war. The answer to any question from the British soldiers was usually “kanska” which means “maybe”. Everything, then and now, is dependant on the very changeable weather. The inhabitants, have therefore, a very relaxed relationship with time.
