I have been trying to draw this lovely ram’s horn from The Faroes. It is difficult because it twists and turns so much – but there are some interesting linear markings. For the first drawing I used a dark brown ART Graf. It is a lovely messy medium that is shaped like tailors’ chalk and can be used dry or wet.
The second drawing I have done with some collaged paper and Derwent’s creamy coloured pencils – shown below. I only have the three colours, and I don’t know if they are available in others, but they are great to work with.
