On my visits to charity shops and flea markets, I am always on the look out for vintage fabrics, buttons and anything sewing related. Last week I found this very tattered Indian bed covering.
Back home I started to take it apart – some of the squares were so worn, that were of no use, but others were tiny gems. I had beads and sequins all over the floor but it was a joy to discover all the tiny treaures and admire the work that had gone into this piece.
