My name is Jennifer Mary Lehm – I lnow live in Denmark although I was born and bred in Northen England.
In England I trained at Art College and after living for a while in Iceland I moved to Denmark. Here I trained to be a kindergarten teacher and later to teach, art and design, to young people and adults at technical college.
I am now retired and spent a lot of my time drawing – on paper and or on fabric with thread. Working with free embroidery on the sewing machine can be hard work, but it is exciting and without boundaries. Working with free hand embroidery is purely meditative. I find a lot of inspiration in the world of nature, but I am also attracted to derelict buildings and harbours, showing the wear and tear of eveyday life.
