This year the theme for the annual Madiera (thread) Competition was Royalty. This piece depicting Henry VIII was my contribution. There were some really well executed works of embroidery on show at the NEC in Birmingham this weekend and some had really thought out “of the box”. Henry is sewn using scraps from my stash and FME. The frame is quilted gold fabric. I will show you the winners in a couple of days.
